Hello Newgrounds!

I just started this NSFW art project a couple of months ago to explore my sexuality with my partner, dismantle shame and guilt I've built up around sex as a result of being raised in a catholic household, and challenge myself to put out artwork I've always wanted to make but, never had the courage to share.

I've been a freelance illustrator for 4 years, mainly in publishing, and was repped by an agency that took advantage of my work ethic and took a very high commission (35-29%). I was really overworked, the deadlines kept getting shorter and whenever I would try to fight for myself, they would tell me the budgets I was getting were industry standard and I should do it for the exposure. I was getting paid $2 an hour to draw other people's stories, convinced I had to earn my stripes, working weekends and holidays and had no time for personal work which made me feel pretty empty. I decided enough was enough. If I was going to be broke and overworked, I might as well be making art I love. I left the agency and decided to fully embrace the title of Independent Artist. So far it's been a total blast and I've found my joy in art again.
